What are your considerations to avoid or mitigate risks in e-commerce?

As we all know, we are living in an advanced technological world where everything is online—even shopping. Thus, activities concerning fraud, theft and many others kept rising.

Therefore, as a customer, the techniques I would use to avoid or mitigate risks in e-commerce are the following:

1. Research and compare products

To make the best out of your spent money, it is important to research your product and compare it to the same products of other stores. This is to make sure that your money is spent nicely on worthy items.

2. Seller Credibility Verification

Another point to remember is the person behind the selling, the seller. It is important to assess the credibility the seller has to decide and come up with efficient and effective decision. Look for reviews and rating to help you decide wonderfully.

3. Secure Payment Methods

According to the internet, we must choose or opt for secure payment options like credit cards or GCash and PayMaya for better reassurance.

4. Be vigilant and informed of scams

In today's world, an individual must be educated and alert to prevent falling into traps that could strip them of their money. Thus, it is relevant to stay vigilant and informed.

5. Look for warranties or return policies

It is inevitable that a product could have problems or that there were mistakes upon delivery, so it is important to ensure that the store offers warranties or return policies for the satisfaction of customers.

Therefore, above are the techniques that I, as consumer can apply to mitigate risks or problems that come along with this type of commerce.
